About Jonathan

Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Colorado State University in 2004 and worked as a reporter at stations including KWGN in Denver; Bay News 9 in Tampa; KRDO in Colorado Springs; and WTSP-TV in Tampa/St. Petersburg. He also managed the travel/lifestyle blog Journey with Jonathan.

He joined AccuWeather Network in February 2018 as a weather news reporter live in the field producing innovative, unique stories from locations where severe weather is occurring.

Jonathan says, "Ernest Hemingway said, 'In order to write about life, first you must live it.' My career has spanned most of the continent, and my travels, nearly all the others. I have lived life to understand how to tell others about it.
